SMALL GROUPS

One way to grow deeper in your relationship with God is by participating in a small group.  We believe life groups are vital to your growth in becoming a disciple, by developing significant relationships that help you to grow and mature as a fellow believer.

Groups meet regularly to discuss teaching from Sunday and learn how the truth is applied to real life.  Each group meets for fellowship, prayer, to encourage one another, and challenge each other in their walk with Christ.

men

Our men’s groups meet regularly, and their primary purpose is to help men grow in their relationship with God and build deep friendships with other godly men.  A natural result of this is spiritually stronger men, husbands, fathers, families and churches. Also, a small group setting facilitates solid and deeper friendships with other men.

women

Women’s ministry goal is to teach and encourage women of all ages and life situations to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  There are a variety of Bible study options and frequent social activities.  We want to challenge the women of Maranatha to seek Christ continually, serve Christ faithfully, and share Christ boldly in every sphere of their lives.

marriage mentoring

At Maranatha, we’re serious about helping couples build marriage relationships that glorify God and reflect His love for us to others. To that end, we are committed to frequently providing Sunday school classes, small group studies and Sunday morning sermons focused on God’s blueprint for marriage.

Another way we seek to assist couples whose marriages may have hit a rough spot or who simply feel like they need a “tune-up” is through a partnership with other local churches to provide individual mentoring for
pre-married and married couples. Currently, several MBC couples have been trained as marriage mentors who agree to meet regularly with a “mentee” couple to help them resolve conflict, improve communication and reignite their love and care for one another.

If you are interested in being mentored, please contact the church office at 362-8784 or contact@maranathabible.org

membership

While the Bible nowhere gives us a commandment like, “Thou shalt be an official church member”, Jesus and the apostles who followed Him put great emphasis on the need for Christians to have strong, healthy, committed relationships with each other – especially with those they worship among each week (John 15:12-17 and 1 John 4:7-11). We believe that entering into church membership helps to define and unify a local church family and we encourage those who make Maranatha “home” to pursue official membership.

Our “Connecting with MBC” membership class is offered a couple of times each year. For more details, ask an Elder, contact Greg Forseen, or the church office.
