  • Lead Pastor

    Aaron, who is an Iowa native, met his wife, Beth at Emmaus Bible College where he

    earned a degree in Pastoral Theology. They are proud parents of three adult children (one who is married and one who soon will be) and three others still at home, and also have one grandson. He has pastored at Maranatha since 1999 and his primary ministry joys are preaching and cultivating a churchwide prayer culture. He also has a growing collection of colorful socks.

  • Worship Pastor

    Jesse and his wife Stasha have been married since August 2011. They earned their bachelor’s degrees at Cornerstone University as a married couple. Jesse received his degree in Worship Arts with a focus on vocal music. Jesse and Stasha have now lived in Cedar Rapids for two years with their children Nora and Lukas. Jesse hopes to always encourage people to worship, both in song and in the whole of life.

  • Church Secretary

    Heidi and her husband, Michael, have been at Maranatha for over 35 years. They met while serving in the Army in Germany.  Together they serve as the lead mentor couple for Maranatha’s Marriage Mentoring. They have two children, Hannah and Matthew, and seven grandchildren.  She has been blessed to serve at MBC since 2008 and loves seeing God’s heart and hand revealed through His people.

  • Children's Ministry Director

    Maggie was raised in Mount Vernon, Iowa. She was set up on a blind date for homecoming with Scott her sophomore year of high school and they were married several years later. They have three children: Katie, Josh and Marcus. Maggie graduated from Emmaus Bible College with a double major in Elementary Education and Biblical Studies. Maggie loves serving at Maranatha and helping teach kids and direct families to follow Jesus. She enjoys drinking black coffee, walking her obnoxious goldendoodle, Baxter, with Scott and sharing life with others.

     

  • Student Ministries Director

    Trevor leads the "Impact" student ministry which focuses on middle-school and high-school youth.  Trevor was born in Iredale, North Carolina, raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina. His parents moved to Cedar Rapids in 2007. Trevor grew up in a Christian home where he watched his Dad do youth ministry, inspired by his father's faith, love for people and love for God's word. He felt God's call on his life to follow in both his Heavenly and earthly father's footsteps in reaching people for the kingdom. Trevor attended Grace university in Omaha, Nebraska for some time, he is currently working on finishing his degree at Liberty University.

    Custodian

    Jay was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Iowa and received a one-year certificate from Kirkwood. He and his wife, Charlotte, have been joyfully married for 20 years! Between them they have 4 adult children and 11 grandchildren. They have been at Maranatha for the past 15 years and praise God for His faithfulness!
