Purpose

To glorify Christ and build up the body of believers by assisting the senior pastor

and elders with daily operations and ministry planning. Provide leadership and

administration for various aspects of the ministry of Maranatha Bible Church, including

discipleship, member care, strategic planning and overall direction of the church.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational readiness of the church through leadership and oversight of the support personnel, performing duties in administration, finance, human resources, supply, and facilities management
• Provide shepherding, encouragement, and oversight for the vision and strategy of small groups, Bible study opportunities and Sunday morning adult education
• Coordinate member care ministries
• Organize guest speakers, communion leaders and special event services
• Occasionally preach a Sunday morning sermon as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Meet the scriptural requirements for elder
• Experience in serving the church
• Evidence of biblical and theological training
• Proven organizational management skills
• Servant leader who desires to grow in knowledge and skill for the glory of God and the building up of the body
• Enjoys working with details and implementing vision and strategy
• Agreement with Maranatha Bible Church statement of faith
